Funeral in Berlin (Unabridged)
By:
Len Deighton
Audio Length:
7 hours and 52 min.
Avg. Cust. Rating:
5 out of 5.0
The hero of Funeral in Berlin is the same unnamed laconic secret agent who appeared in The Ipcress File, and his boss, Dawlish, still defends the secret department, W.O.O.C.(P.), against Whitehall's backbiting. In Berlin, Colonel Stok of Red Army Security is prepared to sell to the West (for a price) an important Russian scientist, and our hero is to act as a receiver. Set in Berlin, France, and Prague, the whole complex plot is slotted together by the brilliantly drawn characters in it, and once again the bleak world of the secret agent is chillingly evoked.
